Lethargy

Lethargy is a state of drowsiness or sluggishness characterized by a lack of energy or enthusiasm. It is a feeling of exhaustion or tiredness that can affect both physical and mental functioning. Lethargy can be caused by a wide range of factors, including sleep deprivation, stress, illness, medication side effects, or a medical condition such as hypothyroidism or anemia. It can also be a symptom of depression, anxiety, or other mental health disorders. Lethargy can affect a person’s ability to perform daily activities, work, or study. Treatment of lethargy depends on the underlying cause and may involve addressing any medical conditions, making lifestyle changes, such as improving sleep hygiene and nutrition, or treating mental health issues with therapy and/or medication. Regular exercise and getting enough restful sleep are also essential for combating lethargy and promoting overall health and well-being.
